This makes Unisoy a healthier snack option for those who are health-conscious and looking to maintain a balanced diet.

*Note: These are personal preferences and your own tastes may vary considerably from my own.

1. Black Pepper

Unisoy's Black Pepper flavor has a perfect balance of peppery spice and traditional jerky texture. It is ideal for those seeking a more standard jerky flavor with a little kick. It is quite possibly my favorite of the flavors.

  • Spice Level: 3/10
  • Rank: 10/10

2. Teriyaki

Unisoy's Teriyaki flavor falls into their more traditional style jerky and it hits all the right marks. The hint of lemon adds so much to this jerky and is a must-try for anyone looking for non-spicy plant-based jerky.

  • Spice Level: 0/10
  • Rank: 9/10

3. Smoky Chipotle

Smoky Chipotle is one for spice lovers. The flavor of this jerky hits right away and starts with a sticky Chipotle taste which quickly heats up and adds a delicious warmth that fills your mouth.

  • Spice Level: 9/10
  • Rank: 8/10

4. Carne Asada

Of all Unisoy's flavors, Carne Asada tastes the most like traditional meat jerky. The subtle garlic and lime flavoring transports you to the streets of Mexico with a perfect balance of traditional jerky and Mexican flavor.

  • Spice Level: 4/10
  • Rank: 8/10

5. Hot n Spicy

The name says it all. This flavor has a real kick of red hot chili peppers to give you that hot and spicy jerky flavor  - what more needs to be said?

  • Spice Level: 9/10
  • Rank: 8/10

6. Pineapple Habanero

Pineapple Habanero is one of Unisoy's more "out-there" flavors and one that you'll likely either love or hate depending on a couple of things. One, the pineapple element is very strong, which is replaced by spiciness. Depending on your own tolerance for spice, this will either be a medium spice or strong. If you're not a fan of spicy jerky, this one is probably not for you. But if you like exotic flavors and want to try something different - definitely give this one a go.

  • Spice Level: 7/10
  • Rank: 7/10

Is Unisoy Jerky Worth It?

If you're looking for vegan, or healthier jerky alternatives, Unisoy jerky is a great option. The brand is ethical and values-based which helps, and the jerky tastes incredible.

While many of their flavors have spice, if you're not a spice fan, I'd stick to flavors like Teriyaki and Black Pepper. However, if you're game, I'd recommend mixing it up a little and trying a wide range of their flavors. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, I highly recommend giving Unisoy a try if you're searching for the best vegan jerky on the market.
