Best Vegan Dessert Spots in Mexico City

Mexico City’s ubiquitous vegan dining scene is one of the best on the planet - and that means vegan dessert too.

While CDMX is best known for its tacos, flautas, and enchilada-type dishes, if I have one piece of advice for you it’s to save room for dessert after your next meal in Mexico City.

When it comes to desserts, Mexico City brings a strong game.

1. Churreria El Moro

Location: Condesa

Best For: Churros

There is a reason the line is usually out the door at this quaint, french-inspired churro spot. While their menu is quite vast with many different dessert options, their churros are 100% vegan, and 100% delicious! For 4 churros it's just 36 pesos, and we usually find a couple of extra pieces in the bag too. This is definitely a sweet-tooth-satisfying stop for any time of the day.

2. Le Muf

Location: Escandon

Best For: Variety of desserts + plant-based cheeses

A true whole-in-the-wall score. With its small store-front that allows 2-3 people at a time, it’s an experience from start to finish. The staff are passionate, and each day you can find a different selection of desserts from macrons, cakes, and even cheeses.

For such a small place, they offer a lot. On Saturday evenings they host a “Secret Dinner” they announce more information on their Instagram with limited first-come, first-serve reservations. They bring you to a secret dining area, catered completely by them, completely vegan. To add to it, their shop doubles as a thrift store with board games, eccentric art, books and little gadgets.

Have a birthday coming up? You can custom order a birthday cake 3-4 days ahead of time.

3. Neive De Olla

Good vegan ice cream can be hard to come by, but Neive De Olla hit the mark in every way.

Welcomed by a smile and as many free samples as you’d like, it was a hard decision to make. Each flavor option they had is 100% vegan and you won’t be disappointed with the variety or creativeness with flavors ranging from marzipan, to lavender and of course all the delicious staples in between. Their bowls and spoons are even edible, we love a no-waste experience.

Have a furry friend? They also do pupsicles!
